On Friday, September 24, 2021, Alexander William Scot Ramsay, loving husband and father of one son, passed away at age 51.
Alex was born on February 26, 1970 in Farmington Hills, MI to Malcolm and Betty (Quirouet) Ramsay. He graduated Harrison High School in 1988, attended CCS and worked as a freelance artist. On August 18, 2001, he married Rachel Helen Ramsay. They raised one son, Alistair.
Alex’s passion was art, he loved to paint, draw and make 3D animations. His artwork was featured in a Sega college football game in the early 2000’s, and he was part of a few gallery showings over the years. More recently, he focused on the “pixel” and his art reflected different uses of pixels. He was an avid music lover and a collector of classic video games and systems.
He is survived by his wife Rachel, his son, Alistair, his parents, Malcolm and Betty Ramsay, his sisters, Laurie Ramsay and Carrie (David) Brady, his niece, Bethany Ramsay, and several cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at the Ramsay Family Home in Farmington Hills, MI from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
