David Michael Crockett

David Michael Crockett, age 71, lost his battle with dementia and congestive heart failure on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Born to Marilyn and David Jackson Crockett January 25th 1950. He grew up in Troy, MI later moving to Clawson, MI to raise his family.

He lived every moment of his life to the fullest and he had a great sense of humor. He lived by the motto “Once a friend always a friend” which is evident by his many lifelong friends. He was always the life of the party. He is truly unforgettable, even if you only met him once.

Dave was an army veteran of the 82nd Airborne and he served in Vietnam. He was a direct descendent of the famous pioneer, Davy Crockett, and he carried on the proud tradition of naming his first born son after him.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years Sue (Walzak) Crockett, his three children, Dave (Jaime), Justin, and Katie, and his two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Davey, who he absolutely adored. He is survived by his siblings, Barbara Dowling, Melinda Hill and Tim (Debbie) Crockett. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Lee Crockett.

In honor of his memory please consider making a memorial donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation supporting our veterans. www.garysinisefoundation.org
