Dennis Spaysky, age 78, died on January 21, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan after a brief battle with tonsil cancer.
Mr. Spaysky is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Kurtz and JoAnn (Bill) Spence.
Dennis was born on September 20, 1944 in Hazel Park, Michigan where he lived the majority of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Anka Spaysky, and his brothers Darwin, James “Jimmy” and Leon.
Dennis is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably as a Communications Center Specialist in the Army, achieving the rank of Private First Class. For his service he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Marksman Rifle Badge M-14. When Dennis left the service, he began working at General Motors where he stayed until retirement.
Dennis will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
