Ronald Dymek

Ronald Dymek, age 73, passed to eternal life on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, surrounded by family.

He was born on September 19, 1948, in Detroit. He had worked as a laboratory technician at Chrysler’s Axle Plant, Detroit, UAW 961.

Ron had dealt with medical issues for years and was hospitalized the week of his death. His entire family surrounded him with love. Twelve hours prior to death, he was successfully disconnected from intubation and was able to enjoy time with his wife, son, grandson Kyle and other dear family members.

Ron was the beloved husband of Jo Ann (Joanie) to whom he was married 16 years. Surviving are his loving son Dan (Michelle), stepsons David (Jamie) and Randy Kohler, grandsons Kyle Salveta (fiancé Kiya Tiara), Dylan Dymek, James Kohler, Ricky Miller, granddaughters Amanda Dymek (fiancé Jacob Kaminski) and Alison Kohler, great grandchildren Sophia and Finn, as well as his sister Claudia Garabelli (John), nephews Dean and Martin (Nicole) Birkenshaw, mother-in-law Marge Miller, step-mother Maria Dymek, many very dear cousins, loving relatives and close friends, including Roger Westergaard (Terri). He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen (Kit) McAllister and his parents Leonard and Blanche Szymanski Dymek.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army (E4) during the Vietnam era and was deployed to Germany where he drove a M60 tank. He loved America. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his wife and family. In his spare time, he liked working on puzzles and he was considered a pretty sharp pinochle player.

He will be dearly missed.
