Henry Herbert (Herb) Ebel, 90, passed peacefully on December 14, 2021, in Troy, MI, after battling cancer for many years. He was born on June 11, 1931, in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 67 years, Rosaura Mae Ebel and his parents Henry Ebel and Katarina Marta Anna (Trute) Ebel. He is survived by his two sons, Martin (Michelle) Ebel of Laurel, MD, and Kenneth (Angela) Ebel, also of Troy, MI, three granddaughters, his brother William of Berkeley, CA, niece Talya Ebel Frey of Kansas City, MO, and nephew John (Zephira) Ebel-Davies, also of Berkeley, CA.
There will be no public memorial service at this time, but the family anticipates a combined service for Herb and Rose in the Spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of H.
