Maureen Catherine Schehl, also known by Maur, Moe, Moie, Mom and G-Moe, 70 of Troy for 41 years and formerly of Dearborn and Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Farmington Hills. She was born in Queens, New York to Patrick and Margaret Lupia. She loved her family and her friends who were like family as well. Anytime she had the chance, you could find her spending time in person or chatting on the phone with those she loved. In her healthier days, many of her favorite pastimes included, sewing, cooking, bowling and playing Pinochle with her card club for many decades. As a Lifetime Member of the Troy Women’s Association, Maureen held many offices during her active years. She was raised Catholic and maintained her spirituality throughout her life, especially her affinity for angels. Despite the most recent decline in her physical health, her sparkling personality remained. She was a pleasure to be around, and brought smiles to those she knew and loved. Daughter of Patrick and Margaret Lupia, sister of Ger and Pat Lupia. Mother of Kimberly Schehl Kane and “Son in Love” Charles Kane III. Grandmother of Logan, Jacob and Joseph.
