Michael Anthony Gunn

Michael (Mike) Anthony Gunn, age 70, passed away on Monday, December 6th, 2021, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Oakland), Pontiac, MI, listening to the music he loved.

He retired from an accomplished career as a Printer, most recently at PDQ Printing, Inc. (Royal Oak), in 2019.

Mike was born to his late mother, Dolores A. Gunn (Cotton), and his late father, James A. Gunn, on March 19th, 1951 in Detroit, MI. He is survived by his two sisters, Kathleen A. (Gary) Murphy and Pamela N. Rodway, his nieces and nephews, Shawn P. (Isela) Murphy, Seth P. (Rebecca) Murphy, Tara A. (Danny) Ibarra, Steven W. (Tiffany) Rodway, and Kimberly A. Rodway, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mike enjoyed the simple life while giving to all of those that he could. He provided many years of mentorship to the youth of Royal Oak while coaching many youth baseball and hockey teams. He enjoyed very much his sports and music. Mike had performed in a number of bands through his early years and continued on playing his guitar through his final days. He grew up playing a variety of recreational sports as a youth, including baseball, softball, football and hockey, which continued through into his adulthood, before he found himself in those many years of coaching the next breed.

Mike will be dearly missed.
